We are proud to announce our Designers for 2012.  This talented and generous group have donated their time and energy to make this the best show ever.

Clay attended the International Academy of Merchandising and Design in Chicago IL to begin his pursuit of becoming a Fashion Designer. Clay further honed his skills as a 1st stitcher in numerous costume workrooms and even as a sample maker for a bridal designer in Chicago. Clay developed his over-the-top and outrageous design aesthetic by designing gowns and costumes for some of the nations most famous or infamous female impersonators known.

Ellie Shoes is a family owned and operated company.  It was founded in Orange, California by Ellen Renger in 2000. The company started out as a footwear company that specialized in lingerie and bedroom shoes for women. Over the years, as Halloween costumes began getting sexier, the demand for a sexy costume shoe to match the outfit inspired Ellie’s involvement in the Halloween industry. Halloween has opened up new opportunities and has given us a lot of exposure to a whole new community.  It was by accident that these two industries collided, and it continues to be a force that grows our business today.  However, the DNA of Ellie Shoes is still in the lingerie business, and we’ve recently signed a license agreement with Bettie Page, catering to the Rockabilly, Pin-Up, and Burlesque genres.

North Beach Leather was established by Michael Hoban and Frank Morgan in the mid 1960s as a leather goods store in Los Angeles, California.  In 1967 the shop was moved to San Francisco, to the North Beach section of town, hince the name.  Hoban's leather designs proved to be popular with the San Francisco hippies, and a branch was soon opened in Berkeley.
North Beach Leather did custom work for celebrities such as Elvis and Elton John.  His designs are known for their boldness in both color and design.  They were also known for their priciness, as these were quite expensive garments.
By the early 2000s, there were eleven North Beach Leather stores, but financial difficulties caused all but the San Francisco store to close in 2004.  Hoban left the company, which was acquired by its general manager, Skip Pas.
